Gottfried Fischer (U-505)
Rations have been reduced drastically. We have already gone three evenings without sausage. They say that provisions have to last for a total of 17 weeks, even though we only took on provisions (including fresh groceries) for 14 weeks. That's how it is being a poor U-Boots-Schwein, as they call us. Yesterday we logged our 200th hour of surface transit during this patrol.
